This privacy policy explains how Mike Lopez handles information for mikelopez.com and the EasternCoder YouTube automation application.
EasternCoder YouTube Automation
EasternCoder YouTube is a private automation application used by Mike Lopez to manage YouTube channels he owns or administers. It uses Google OAuth so Mike can authorize access to a selected YouTube channel.
Information the Application Uses
After authorization, the application may access the selected channel's identity and the YouTube data needed to:
- Verify that the correct channel was selected
- Upload videos as private
- Set or update video titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and scheduling details
- Upload and manage captions associated with those videos
- Confirm the result of an authorized operation
The Google authorization scope available to the application can technically permit additional YouTube actions. The automation gateway is designed to deny video deletion, caption deletion, comments, and ratings.
How Information Is Used and Shared
Google user data is used only to perform the YouTube channel operations described above. It is not sold, used for advertising, or shared with unrelated third parties. The application does not use Google user data to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
The application's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Storage and Retention
OAuth credentials and tokens are stored on systems controlled by Mike Lopez with access restricted to the automation services that need them. They are not stored in the public website or source repository. Tokens are retained while the automation remains authorized and are deleted when access is revoked or is no longer needed.
Revoke Access or Request Deletion
You can revoke the application's access at any time from your Google Account connections. To request deletion of information held by the application, email e@mikelopez.com. Requests will be handled within 30 days.
Website Information
Mikelopez.com may receive information you voluntarily provide by email. Standard server and security logs may record technical information such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, and request time. This information is used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website and is not sold.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the website or automation changes. The modified date above identifies the latest revision.
